Final Part 2

These first seven pictures I shot using the poor mans macro lens. What I did was I took my lens off of the camera and flipped it so the lens was on the body of the camera. That is why there isn’t  an F stop in any of theses first seven pictures. In Adobe Photoshop I didn’t really do a whole lot. With the first picture I made it a little bit brighter, but not to bright. I really liked it kinda darker then the rest. With the 2nd picture I left it darker like the 1st picture:)! With the 3rd picture in Photoshop I did brighten the exposure a lot, just because it looked better. With the 4rd picture it was already pretty bright, but in Photoshop I posted up the contrast just a little bit and the exposure. With the 5th picture I adjusted the exposure a lot, because the original picture was dark. The 6th picture that I took and edited it in Photoshop I used the burn tool around the edges. Then I used the dodge tool and used it on the main part of the blade of grass and the water droplet. With the last of the first 7 pictures, in Photoshop I adjusted the exposure, then I took the burn tool and took it to the edges of the photo a little bit. Not a whole lot going on with that picture.

This is my studio picture. There isn't a whole lot of excitement in this picture. I should have used a different lighting set up. In Photoshop I made it black and white. This is one that i took when I was at Silverwood. IN Lightroom I made it back and white, but I also liked it colored. Then I used an edit and added the darkness around the edges. This one I took over spring break. My friend Abbie and I were taking pictures downtown. Then we had this idea to go down into the ally ways and take pictures in there. I really loved the red brick background and I am not sure why. So I took a picture of her looking the other way and pulling her hair back. When I took it into Adobe Lightroom I boost ed the contrast up, but not a ton. Then I also fixed the exposure. In Adobe Photoshop I took the Doge tool around the edges. Then I took the Dodge tool around the whole picture. I also added a little bit of a filter to the picture, but lowered the opacity so it wasn't to over powering. This picture I took over this past summer. My family and I were hiking up to a lake and while we were hiking there was quite a few waterfalls. I wanted to do some photography while we were out, but I really didn't have anything to take pictures besides the flowers and trees, and those were getting boring. So i cam up with this idea where I would take my CTR ring and put it into the area where the waterfall was. So I set it on the rock and and took the picture. Then I took it into Adobe Lightroom first and edited the lighting, because with the original picture it was a little over exposed. Then I also fixed the contrast. This is one of my absolute favorite. I took this one weekend when we had a free choice assignment. When I went into Adobe Photoshop I fist made it black and white right off the bat. I also fixed the exposure a little bit also. I didn't use Adobe Lightroom for this photograph. ISO: 640 F stop: 8.0 Shutter Speed: 1/80

This picture was also taking the same day as the Kiddos picture. I am really proud of how this picture turned out that day, because little miss London really wasn't working well with me. I took this photograph into Adobe Lightroom first and fixed the exposure right away. Spring Break 2014

This is Abbie again and this is in an ally way. I had her play with her hair again and look to the side and not at the camera. I took it into Lightroom and with this picture I just left it colored. I selected the background and boosted the contrast. Then I brightened the whole picture also. When I took it into Photoshop I took the burn tool around the edges. This picture I just shot as I was walking back to the car. I shot it because I liked the way it looked and I thought it would look really cool in black and white. I took it into Lightroom and made it black and white first and then I fixed the lightening and then I believe I added a little more contrast. I really didn't do anything to big in Photoshop. I did crop the picture a little bit. I also took the dodge tool and lightened the building a little bit.

Vadering

With this photography assignment we had to do Hadouken and or Vadering. I chose to do Vadering.
They way I did both Picture 1 and Picture 2 as when I went to go to take the shot I counted to three and on three I had my brother Miner jump up in the air and told him to look like he was chocking. when he was up in the air I took the shot. Therefore making him look like he is actually in the air.
With Picture 1 I really don’t like how I cut off his foot. I took it into Photoshop and made it black and white. Then I wen into Lightroom and put a black and white effect on it. in Lightroom I sharpened up the picture a little bit but not to much!
With Picture 2 I did the same this as I did with Picture 2. Nut this time I left it in color. This picture is just at a different angle.

Stop Bullying

In photography class we were assigned to make bullying posters for our school. This is one that I came up with to help promote that bullying is boot okay and that there are people put there who struggle from bullying everyday. The first thing I did was take a picture of my friend Reid. Then I made the picture brighter with the lighten adjustment. Then I used to text tool to make all of those words. all of those words are a separate layer. after I was all done I had a totally of 40 layers, not including the background.

This bully poster was try to help lift others up. To make them feel like they are important. With this one its just a blank background with a bunch of texts. The words or sentences thats are different than just the regular font are a separate layer. When I was done with this one I had a total of 13 layers.

Water And Oil!

For our past weekend assignment we were told to do our own thing, but then Mr. Twitchell advised us to try something new, something different. He told us to get out of our comfort zone and just try different. So that what I decided to go ahead and do.
So what I chose to do was water and oil. I used just my dinner room light for the lighting. I used a clear glass bowl and I put about 2 cups of water and then about 2.5 cups of oil. and the oil went up to the top of the water creating the bubbles. Then I I picked different colors of paper to go underneath the bowl to have the colored affect.
I used the colors orange, blue, white, pink, red, and green ( not all on the same photos.)
I shot in RAW format and in Manual Mode. My ISO was at 3200. When I went and downloaded them into Adobe Lightroom I found that the original picture was noisy so then I fixed tat! I also lightened the picture in Lightroom and made them shaper.
In Adobe Photoshop I  blemished a couple of things and then sized the pictures down. There wasn’t a whole lot done in Photoshop.
